Getting Started
How do I install TrueBeacon?
Install TrueBeacon from the Shopify App Store. The app will automatically connect to your store and begin syncing your order and product data. No manual setup is required — your dashboard will be populated within minutes.
How long does the initial data sync take?
For most stores, the initial sync completes within 2–5 minutes. Stores with over 10,000 orders may take up to 15 minutes. You can check sync status in Settings → Store Info.
How do I set up my costs?
Go to Costs in the sidebar. Start with COGS — your product costs will be auto-populated from Shopify's cost-per-item field. You can override any product's cost by clicking "click to set" in the Custom Cost column. Then configure Transaction Fees, Shipping Costs, Variable Costs, and Fixed Costs.

What are CM1, CM2, and CM3?
These are contribution margin levels. CM1 (Gross Margin) = Revenue minus COGS. CM2 = CM1 minus shipping, transaction fees, and variable costs. CM3 = CM2 minus ad spend. Net Profit = CM3 minus fixed costs. This framework lets you see exactly where margins erode.
How does scenario modeling work?
Go to Scenarios in the sidebar. Use the sliders to adjust COGS, pricing, ad spend, shipping, and order volume by any percentage. The Projected Impact cards update in real time to show how those changes would affect your profit.
How is Lifetime Value (LTV) calculated?
TrueBeacon calculates LTV by tracking total revenue per customer across all their orders. The LTV Multiplier shows how much additional revenue a customer generates beyond their first order.
How do I connect my ad platforms?
Go to Settings → Integrations. Click "Connect" on any platform (Facebook, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, AppLovin) and follow the OAuth flow. Ad spend data is automatically imported and factored into your P&L.
Can I export my data?
Yes — use the Export button on Dashboard, Orders, or Products pages for CSV. Connect Google Sheets in Settings → Integrations for one-click spreadsheet export. Or download a full data export from Settings → Data & Privacy.
Billing & Account
How much does TrueBeacon cost?
$25/month flat. Unlimited orders, all features included. No per-order fees, no tiered pricing. You get a 14-day free trial. Billing is handled through Shopify.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription, or by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin. No cancellation fees or lock-in periods.
Data & Privacy
Does TrueBeacon affect my store's speed?
No. TrueBeacon is an admin-only app. We do not inject any scripts, tracking pixels, or code into your storefront.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
All data is automatically deleted within 48 hours of uninstalling. You can also request immediate deletion from Settings → Data & Privacy.
