Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TrueBeacon ("the App", "Service"), a profit analytics application for Shopify merchants, operated by TrueBeacon ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

TrueBeacon is a profit analytics tool that connects to your Shopify store to calculate true profitability by tracking costs including COGS, shipping, transaction fees, ad spend, variable costs, and fixed costs. The App provides:

  • Real-time profit & loss (P&L) reporting with contribution margin tiers (CM1, CM2, CM3).
  • KPI dashboards with customizable metrics and date ranges.
  • Product-level lifetime value (LTV) analytics.
  • Customer cohort analysis with retention heatmaps.
  • Customer acquisition cost (CAC) and new customer ROAS metrics.
  • Ad platform integrations (Meta, Google, Snapchat, AppLovin, TikTok).
  • MCP server for AI assistant integration.
  • CSV and PDF data export.

2. Pricing & Billing

  • Price — $25 per month, flat rate. No order caps, no tiered pricing.
  • Billing — All charges are processed through the Shopify Billing API. You will be billed through your Shopify account.
  • Trial — We may offer a free trial period at our discretion. At the end of any trial, your subscription will activate at the standard rate unless cancelled.
  • Refunds — Billing is managed by Shopify. Refund requests are handled per Shopify's billing policies.

3. Your Account

You must have an active Shopify store to use TrueBeacon. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account credentials. You agree to use the App only for lawful business purposes.

4. Data Ownership

  • Your data — You own all data from your Shopify store. We do not claim ownership of your orders, products, customer data, or cost configurations.
  • Our analytics — The calculated metrics, reports, and visualizations we generate from your data are provided as part of the Service. You may export and use these reports freely.
  • Aggregated data — We may use anonymized, aggregated data (that cannot identify individual merchants or their customers) to improve the Service. We will never share identifiable data with third parties.

5. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" without any SLA commitments. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime in advance.

The accuracy of profit calculations depends on the correctness of your cost data and the availability of the Shopify API. We are not liable for calculation discrepancies caused by incomplete or incorrect cost inputs.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Use the App to violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Share your MCP API keys with unauthorized parties.
  • Attempt to access data belonging to other merchants.
  • Use automated scripts to scrape or overload the Service.

7. Termination

  • By you — You may uninstall TrueBeacon at any time through the Shopify admin. Uninstalling cancels your subscription effective at the end of the current billing period.
  • By us — We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or if your Shopify store is deactivated.
  • Data deletion — Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our data retention policy (48-hour grace period after uninstall, then full deletion via Shopify's shop/redact webhook). See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrueBeacon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

TrueBeacon provides profit analytics for informational purposes. The calculations and reports should not be used as a sole basis for financial, tax, or legal decisions. Consult a qualified professional for financial advice.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is the property of TrueBeacon and is protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your business.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address associated with your Shopify account. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
